Meet the Machines. Discover the Careers Behind Them.

Future Careers Day at Global Drone® 2026 gives students a first-hand look at the technologies—and the people—reshaping work across Australia and the world.

Held on Friday 13 November, the program brings government, academia, educators and industry together to explore careers in drones, robotics, AI, autonomous systems, aviation, agriculture, defence, emergency response, entertainment, engineering and Advanced Air Mobility.

Future Careers at Global Drone® 2026

Students will not simply hear about these industries. They will walk through the Expo, meet employers and innovators, and watch real technology operating live in the Drone Zone.

These Are Not Jobs of the Distant Future

Many of these careers already exist.

Pilots, engineers, programmers, technicians, designers, data analysts, researchers, cyber specialists, operators, project managers and safety professionals are working with autonomous systems today.

School Groups

School groups must register through their school using the provided form.

The registration pathway is designed for teacher-led groups and will collect the information required to support planning, group arrival and attendance.

Independent Student Attendance

Adult students aged 18+ can attend Global Drone® on any day of the event with a valid Student Ticket.

Students under 18 attending independently of a school group can attend on Friday 13 November.

A parent or adult guardian can purchase a GA Student Ticket on their behalf and must accompany and supervise the student while at the event.

Find information for schools, educators and students planning to attend Future Careers Day, including registration, eligibility and group participation.

Future Careers Day takes place on Friday 13 November 2026 from 9:00am–5:00pm at Cbus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast.

The program gives students the opportunity to explore the future of drones, robotics, AI, autonomous systems and Advanced Air Mobility through the Global Drone® Expo, live demonstrations, education and career experiences.

Schools and education groups can register their interest in attending Future Careers Day via the registration form on the Future Careers page of the Global Drone® website.

Registrations must be submitted by a teacher or authorised educator on behalf of the school or education group. Following registration, the Global Drone® team will provide further information to help schools plan their visit.

Students aged 18 years and over can attend Global Drone® independently on any day of the event by purchasing a Student Ticket. A valid student ID must be presented as proof of eligibility.

Students under 18 years of age may attend Global Drone® on Future Careers Day, Friday 13 November only. They must attend either as part of a registered school or education group or accompanied by a parent or adult guardian.

Students under 18 cannot attend independently.

Future Careers is designed for students from upper primary through to university, providing age-appropriate opportunities to discover emerging technologies, industries and future career pathways.

The program will showcase opportunities across drones, robotics, AI, autonomous systems, Advanced Air Mobility and the many industries adopting these technologies.

All students under the age of 18 must remain under appropriate adult supervision while attending Global Drone®.

School and education groups must be accompanied by teachers or authorised adult supervisors and meet the required adult-to-student supervision ratio for their group.

Students attending independently of a school group must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian for the duration of their visit on Friday 13 November.

Parents, guardians, teachers and other accompanying adults must also be registered to attend Global Drone®.

Be Part of Global Drone® 2026

Choose your pathway and be part of Global Drone®, the world-first event platform bringing drones, robotics, AI, Advanced Air Mobility, defence, agritech, investment, education and live demonstrations together on the Gold Coast, Australia.

Global Drone® is an 18+ event, with all attendees subject to security screening.

Students under 18 may attend Future Careers Day on Friday 13 November as part of a registered school group, or accompanied by a parent or guardian.
